With all the advances in artificial nail products and the chemistry of nails, nail technicians can now make incredibly natural-looking nails. They are experts on professional products and their uses; they're also knowledgeable about medications that can hinder the application of certain nail products, and they advise clients accordingly. And, career prospects are good: According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, nail technicians held about 60,000 jobs in 2004. The Profession of Nail Technician
This program is one of the quickest ways to enter the cosmetology field. In 7.5 -8 weeks for morning student at 40 hours per week or in 10 weeks for evening student at 30 hours per week, a person can qualify for state registration to work in Florida doing manicures, pedicures, and nail extensions.
We utilize flexible scheduling, which may be individualized to meet working student's needs. The Nail Technician program takes 300 hours with the minimum of 165 nail services. - Nail Theory/ General w/Practice
